Location

A forest by the Mundy's is a location where we were filmed to create more drama in the narrative because the character will be lost and scared making the music video more intense throughout the narrative. The forest location is also a useful location because it is a place where the character will be alone. our group started off by walking around and finding suitable locations in the forest to film where we found a spot where the lighting was suitable and the view was clear for the filming of our actors. Through Andrew Goodwin's theory we chose syntactic elements where the theme of loneliness works well with our actor feeling lost in a forest struggling to find his girlfriend. The other location that we are had our music video set was in the drama studio at castle sixth form. The drama studio will include a lot of space where we can use the music video narrative to it's full advantage. the drama studio enabled our group to develop the effects on the lighting which was created by the spotlights.

Camera angles&Editing

Throughout my research into music videos of similar genre to my artist where we used mostly wide and close-up shot to explain the narrative. the use of wide shots were able to display the choreographed dance. the use of close were able to show our actors facial expressions while lip syncing. the editing techniques our group developed was keeping the shots on beat because the song starts off quite at quite a fast pace which some parts were slow.
